PROJECT
est time: 1-5 hours
You decided your Hard Mini-Project. This is what YOU want to do, but you have to choose to do it.

We only have 2 weeks left until Nov 16! If you finished yours, choose another hard thing to do. Here is the project form.

CONNECT
est time: 5 min
Get on https://studentsofasa.slack.com. Do this early in the week!

Post your weekly commitment on FRIDAY of what you’re going to do to make progress on your project this week.

READ/WRITE
est time: 15-20 min
Let’s start creating your rich life!

Write a letter to Future You. Type it here: https://www.futureme.org/ and schedule it to send in 1 year.

Alternatively, you can make a video and post it on youtube and schedule it to upload in 1 year. (See the video below.)

Imagine where you want to be in 1 year from today. Write a letter to your future self describing where you are now and the person you aspire to be. What are your character qualities? What have you learned or accomplished? What skills do you have? Who have you helped? How do you get along with your family? What kind of friends do you have? What are your habits and routines in your daily life? How are your spiritual habits and your testimony?

Write it in present tense and start the letter something like this:

Dear future (me),
Hey how are you doing? Right now I’ve been assigned to write this letter in my class and I don’t really want to but I guess I will. I’m supposed to write to you as though I can see what cool stuff you’ve done. Right now I’m doing pretty good in my classes. I have been having a hard time staying off my phone so it makes getting my homework getting done. I like getting pushed to goals, so I’ve been working on some things to help me do better.

I’ve been thinking you’re pretty awesome. Look at how far you’ve come in one year. You have been working so hard and I’m proud of what you’ve been able to accomplish. You hated to run, but you decided to train and you ran a 5K! I can’t even believe that you read 20 challenging books and tracked them too.

I know sometimes the siblings can be annoying, but it’s been so much better since you decided to be kinder to that one that bugs you so much. You’ve been making really good choices, and that daily scripture reading habit has gone pretty well this past year! And I know maybe mom and dad don’t always see it, but you have been doing way better managing your time on your phone. (I bet they are still proud of you!)

(keep going!)

I can’t wait to see what’s coming up in this next year for you. God has some great things in plan. I hope you write another future me letter so I can check in again with you in a year.

Love, (me)

After you send this letter, why not start practicing now?
