PROJECT
Every week this will be your semester business project.
This week make sure you decide your business. Then follow your weekly action plans you made in class. If you didn’t make any, choose 3 things to do this week to move your business forward.
DO NOT STAY STUCK IN DECISION MODE. Choose something and then act!
CONNECT
By Monday or Tuesday, reply to the email and tell us what your business idea is. By telling other people, you will be more committed and supported.
CHALLENGE
Make 1 sale in your business. If your business is yard work, then make a sale snow shoveling, don’t sell a piece of furniture. If it is selling food, then sell a loaf of bread, don’t clean the house for your mom. The sale needs to relate to your business.
1 Month Challenge (by Feb 8) – Make $100 in your business.
READ/WRITE
Get the book, “Rich Dad, Poor Dad For Teens” by Feb 1
WATCH
No videos this week but you can re-watch the videos from class here if you want to:
TRACKING
Track how you spend your time for the next week in 30 minute increments. Get at least 5 days tracked, preferably weekdays but can be weekends too. TIME TRACKING SPREADSHEET WITH DIRECTIONS
**BRING your time tracker to week next week!**
Turn in the Homework checkoff sheet.
MARK YOUR CALENDAR
You have the opportunity to win cash prizes ($100 to $1000) as an investment into your business and get professional feedback on your business!
I’m co-hosting a Teen PitchFest (shark tank style, but nicer and much lower pressure) on Saturday, Feb 17 9:00am-12:30pm. Any teen can register for $25, but you can get in for free for being a member of this class. The odds are pretty good of winning at this point as this is a brand new event. I would LOVE to see every one of you win a prize!
There will also be a market with plenty of booths and traffic so you can showcase your wares or services. If you pitch, people will be even more likely to purchase from you!
