Homework for this Week:
- Print the Accountability Sheet and return it to class next week. If you are unable to print it, write down the information on a piece of paper to turn in during class.
- Work on your curriculum goal.
- The book Math Games with Bad Drawings is one of the resources I have been using for our class. The author has a website with some of the games we have been playing in class: Neighbors and Dandelions (our new game). L.A.P. is another fun one that you can play with your family.
- Play a game with a member of your family or a friend. Here are some options:
- Play a game we have already played in class.
- Dandelions – New game this week
- Neighbors (5×5)
- Boxed In
- Tenzi
- Tic-Tac-Toe Sums or Products with positive number or integers
- Oddball
- Hopping Hundred
- Mancala
- Rook: You can learn how to play Rook with your family using the deck of cards given in class.
- Play another game with your family. Most games involve math is some way. Strategy and critical thinking are an important part of math, so those are awesome skills we can practice when playing games.
- Play a game we have already played in class.
