Get started early on your family history presentation. We handed out the guidelines for the presentation on the last day of class before break, but HERE is a link to google doc version. As soon as you can sign up for the ancestor, historical topic reflected in their life, and date for the presentation. Sign up HERE. Remember you can’t do the same topic as someone else so sign up quickly and make sure you look through the other topics before you put yours down. Sign up this week!!
Required Reading Book
Get started reading our first book for the semester, The Jungle by Upton Sinclair. The book needs to be finished by February 22nd. That means you should read about 85 pages a week.

Don’t forget to write out your summaries of the readings in the NOTEBOOK we gave you. This will help you participate more fully in class.

Don’t forget to choose 1 book and 1 documentary from the Supplemental reading/watching list. Remember that everyone’s family standards are different so make sure the book/documentary you choose is appropriate for your family standards.
