Musical Theater - Scholar Theater Project

Whether you have starred in a musical or have never performed, there is something for everyone in our Musical Theater class, Scholar Theater Project. Students will learn the ins and outs of auditioning, acting, and using voice and choreography to tell a story. Not just any story however- one you help create! After studying character development and plot progression, students will be guided in bringing these elements to life. Songs from familiar musicals will be incorporated into an entirely new story. Every student will receive a unique role, including a solo, (singing and/or speaking) if they desire. Students will be given the opportunity to dream up and create sets and come up with and teach fun choreography. Every student will feel like a star as the completed musical unfolds in a memorable and unique performance in front of a captivated audience at the end of the year.
